The shaped moulded cornice above the frieze dated 1773 and above two shaped panelled cupboard doors opening to an interior fitted with a large compartment above a central pigeon-hole flanked by four drawers to either side and two drawers below, the central section with hinged panelled slope enclosing a green felt-lined writing surface, pigeon-holes and six drawers, the serpentine base with three long drawers, on tapering feet, three carrying handles to each side
