Circa 1830, iron red stencilled Schoelcher mark
Painted with a view of the Vatican from a hilltop with figures in the foreground, within a tooled gilt cartouche titled Vue de St Pierre et du Vatican, the scroll moulded border with three red trompe-l'oeil panels of trophies
9½ in. (24 cm.) diam.
