Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru--Vintage 1990
Domaine bottled: Louis Latour
Tasting Note: At the Louis Latour bicentenary tasting and dinner in 1997, well developed, its richness coping with foie gras. And so on - consistently good. Someone described the taste as 'yellow plum' At the vertical in 1998, it was quite the best, its nose now toasted pineapple and peach. Coping with stone crabs in 1999. Most recently at Hugh Johnson's Bordeaux Club Dinner, now a waxy yellow gold; sweet, rich, creamy, vanilla bouquet and a wonderfully rich, mouthfilling flavour. Very good acidity. Dec 2001. ***** M.B.
