a Zeeland walnut, rosewood and marquetry cabinet on stand
Late 17th Century
The moulded rectangular cornice and frieze above two cupboard doors with oyster veneer inlaid with chequer-banded panels, each door with a central oval panel enclosing a flower-head and surrounded by circular panels inlaid with ivory and ebony stars, the sides each with two panels inlaid with stars, the stand with a frieze drawer with two chequer-banded oyster panels each centring on a star, on tapering octagonal legs joined by a shaped stretcher and on japanned ball feet
