An ivory okimono, signed Munekazu, late 19th, early 20th Century
of Okame, giggling and seated within an empty shell, an oni next to her pulling at her open fan, another oni used as a step for a Tengu to climb on top of the shell and peep through a small opening; Together with a lacquer kogo of circular form decorated in gold, silver and roiro takamakie with gold kimpun on an uneven black ground, depicting autumnal grasses and kiku; a wood inro carved with travellers climbing up a rocky mountain; and a stag antler kiseruzutsu carved with a man under a heavy burden beside a pine tree -- the first 2¼in. (5.7cm.) high. (4)
