the first a manju carved in low relief in tsuishu lacquer with a minogame standing on a shore, the reverse with rockwork, bamboo and pine; the second of wood and carved as oni, his drumsticks stuck securely into his fundoshi, one foot resting on his drum as he pulls out cloud after cloud from a sack creating the pierced base he stands upon, signed Shojyusai -- the first 1 11/16in. (4.3cm.) diam. (2)
