A Lacquer Kazaridana cabinet, Meiji Period (1868-1912)
of typical form with various shelves, sliding doors and drawers, the stand, sides and shelves with karakusa and butterfly mon, the back in hirame, all doors and drawers, including two panels are finely decorated within a diaper patterned band, on a kinji ground with gold kirigane, gold and silver hiramakie and takamakie with seascape scenes of pavilions, rolling green hills, boats, temples and one with Mount Fuji in the distance -- 38 3/16 x 59 5/8 x 17in. (97 x 151.5 x 43cm.)
