Utagawa Kokunimasa (1874-1944) and Watanabe Nobukazu (1874-1944)
two oban triptychs, each depicting the Japanese negotiating a treaty with the Chinese after their defeat in the Sino-Japanese war (1894-95); Watanabe Nobukazu, a triptych illustrating the Imperial carriage arriving at the Third Exhibition in 1890; and five further triptychs by various artists including Hidetoshi, Chikanobu, Hiroshige III and Shogetsu depicting battles from the Russo-Japanese war (1904-5) and a Tokyo waterfront scene.
