A jade gu vase, 16th/17th Century
of rectangular section, carved in relief with bamboo formed vertical flanges to the corners of each section to the body, the centre of each panel with squared flanges with incised geometric patterns, the body decorated in low relief with taotie mask motifs, between stiff leaf designs -- 6 5/8in. (17cm.) high.
