A PAIR OF LARGE CANTONESE WHITE SLIP-DECORATED BLUE-GLAZED VASES, 19TH CENTURY
each of elongated oviform shape, the neck with foliated rim to the shoulder and to the mouth rim, the shoulders with two pairs of applied moulded dragons and twin Buddhistic lion and cub handles, decorated in white slip with two large panels depicting scattered warrior figures amongst stylised rockwork and cloud scrolls, surrounded by longtail birds amongst various fruiting and flowering sprays, all on a blue glazed ground -- 52½in. (133.4cm.) high. (2)
