A set of eleven export paintings, early 19th century
in watercolour on paper, ten depicting the various stages of growing and processing tea, including ploughing, picking, sorting, drying and transporting, with labourers in fields and before farm buildings, the eleventh with a Western merchant in a tea hong negotiating with a Chinese trader, each incribed in Chinese to the lower right margin -- 15¾in. x 20½in. (40cm. x 52cm.) including margins, framed and glazed. (11)
