Thomas Yoseloff was a book publisher fascinated by printing techniques and therefore became attracted by Japanese woodblock prints. He formed this collection during the 1950's and 60's to further his studies of print making. He was well known in the publishing world as the owner of the prestigious Golden Cockerel Press, and as an author. His publications include the renowned biography of Laurence Sterne, A Fellow of Infinite Jest.
