The Takeda commander Yamamoto Kansuke rallies his few surviving troops on a hill for their last stand against Uesugi Kenshin's army at the battle of Kawanakajima in 1561, signed Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi, kiri seal, published by Yamamotoya Heikichi, date seal Tiger 8 (1854), fine impression, colours and condition; and Eiyu Yamato junishi [Japanese Heroes for the Twelve Signs], eight designs from the series, signed Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi, kiri seal, published by Mikawaya Jihei, aratame seal, date seal Tiger 7 (1854), generally very good impressions and colours, varying condition
