Preserving the lower calf and foot from a statue, the heel raised, wearing a high crepida sandal with elements from a trochas sandal, with a thick sole and band across the vamp, the toes exposed, with straps criss-crossed over the top of the foot and attached with studs to the sides of the boot, the back of the foot enclosed, a tongue (lingula) extending from the top of the foot to above the ankle and tied at mid-calf, the long toes naturalistically rendered with knuckles and nails delineated
