A CONTINENTAL SILVER-MOUNTED HUNTING SWORD; AND ANOTHER, FRENCH
LATE 18TH CENTURY
The first with straight blade etched on both sides (pitted), silver hilt cast in low relief, including fluted short quillons with recurved tips, fluted cap pommel, and original horn grip bound with silver wire, in a silver-mounted scabbard (worn); the second with curved tapering blade, silver-mounted shaped ebony hilt (the guard damaged), and silver-mounted scabbard (associated).
