A FLINTLOCK BLUNDERBUSS BY J. & W. RICHARDS CIRCA 1785
With brass barrel formed in two stages and with belled moulded muzzle, the breech engraved with bands of flowers and beadwork, signed bevelled lock (the upper half of the cock replaced), figured walnut full stock moulded about the barrel tang, brass mounts comprising butt-plate engraved with trophies, engraved skeleton side-plate, trigger-guard with acorn finial cast in relief, and two ramrod-pipes, escutcheon, and original ramrod, Birmingham proof marks.
