A POLISH PERCUSSION OFFICER'S PISTOL, CONVERTED FROM FLINTLOCK, MALAPANE
EARLY 19TH CENTURY
With swamped octagonal sighted barrel cut with multi-groove rifled bore, inscribed 'Malapane' in silver letters and inlaid with silver lines at the breech and muzzle, border-engraved lock fitted with nipple-guard, walnut full stock, chequered butt, octagonal pommel, plain brass mounts of shaped outline, horn fore-end cap, set trigger, and bone-tipped ramrod.
