A SILVER-MOUNTED FLINTLOCK TURN-OFF PISTOL BY NATHANIEL TREVEY

With cannon barrel, signed lock with engraved linear border (the cock bent, one side-nail replaced), moulded walnut butt (shrinkage about the lock), silver mounts cast in low relief, comprising grotesque mask butt-cap, rococo trophy-of-arms side-plate and escutcheon also decorated en rocailles, and with iron trigger-guard with acorn finial.
