AN EAST SCOTTISH ALL-METAL FLINTLOCK BELT PISTOL, UNSIGNED, POSSIBLY BY JAMES MACKENZIE OF BRECHIN

With three-stage barrel formed with three raised girdles and a pronounced ramp at the rear, plain bevelled lock (the cock associated, the side-nails replaced), plain full stock with raised fluted bands on the underside, one retaining engraved silver inlay, strongly formed heart-shaped pommel bound with an inlaid silver band, button trigger, and brass ramrod-pipe (wear and light pitting throughout, the pricker, belt hook and ramrod all replaced).
