FIRST LATIN EDITION of Kepler's 'longest and most influential work' (DSB), consisting of seven books originally issued in three instalments. The first three books deal with spherical astronomy, book four is on theoretical astronomy, while books five to seven deal with practical geometrical problems arising from the elliptical orbits, the law of areas, and his lunar theory; and together with Book IV they served as the theoretical explanation to the Tabulae Rudolphinae (DSB).
