Contemporary tan straight-grained morocco gilt (rubbed, some staining). Provenance: Ann Fox, 1811 (signature); "Bound by Taylor & Hessey" (inscription). WITH A FORE-EDGE PAINTING OF RICHMOND BRIDGE. The poet James Thomson was born in Richmond (Surrey). With James Templeman's Gilbert, An Amatory Rural Poem (London, 1809) with a FORE-EDGE PAINTING of Blackfriars Bridge and St. Paul's. (2)
