Title with large woodcut armorial, woodcut portrait of Jaime I, opening page to each part with woodcut historiated border, the second printed in red and black. Woodcut ornamental initials of 10 to 4 lines. Woodcut device and figures on final errata leaf. (Title and preliminaries thumb-soiled and rubbed at upper corner, some browning, stains on h2v and H5-6, marginal worming from quire q to end, touching on text in last two quires, x6 holed with slight loss, E6-7 slightly creased, a few marginal tears and holes.) Uncut. 19th-century Spanish calf, blue speckled edges (rubbed). Provenance: Extensive early marginal annotations -- Hilario de Cisneros y Saco (signature on title) -- Vicente Palacio, Valladolid (ownership stamp on title).

FIRST EDITION. The 21 leaves following the 6 preliminaries contain the history of the conquest of Valencia by el rey Don Jaime I de Aragon, copied from the chronicle in Catalan reputedly written by the same monarch.
