4° (190 x 134mm). Half-title, engraved plate of coat-of-arms, woodcut diagrams to text, one of which full-page, folding engraved astrological chart. (Small repair to title-page, Ccc1v, Ccc2r, Ccc3v and Ccc4r blank owing to printer's error, small hole to Fff4 at lower corner affecting a few letters only, tiny marginal wormhole to last 2 leaves, dampstained at beginning, a few leaves cropped close at head and tail, some just into headlines.) Contemporary vellum (rebacked, crinkled and worn). Provenance: Dr. N. Coppola (booklabel over ink stamp on half-title) -- stamp removed from title.
EXTREMELY RARE FIRST EDITION of this work on geometry, astronomy and astrology. Intended to comprise six parts, only this 'part 4' was published. Worldcat only records the Michigan copy. De Caro 108; Riccardi I 134.
