8° (194 x 130mm). Half-title, final advertisement leaf. Original brown cloth, upper cover lettered in gilt with decoration in maroon, spine lettered in maroon (slightly discoloured).
FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION INSCRIPTION: "Mrs Robbins. From Ughlomi", with small sketch of a caveman, on front blank. Ughlomi is the hero of "A Story of the Stone Age", one of five stories in this collection. Among the others are "The Man who could work Miracles" and "The Star". Hammond C4; Wells 16.
