GENEVA, CIRCA 1790/1800, WITH RUBBED PRESTIGE MARKS, INCLUDING THE PSEUDO-CHARGE MARK OF JULIEN ALATERRE, THE FLANGE STRUCK WITH ONE FRENCH POST-1838 RESTRICTED WARRANTY MARK FOR GOLD, THE ENAMEL PLAQUE FRENCH, CIRCA 1760/70
rectangular with cut corners, the cover centred with an enamel plaque depicting two lovers in a landscape, within a gold mount, the cover and sides enamelled in translucent blue on an engine turned ground of horizontal stripes and foliate scrolls, within a polished gold and sky blue enamel band, the outer border with green enamel pellets and opaque white enamel taille d'épargne, the base similarly decorated and centred with a translucent blue enamel reserve on a ground of engine- turning with classical figures and an urn with flowers and foliate swags, the cut corners with paillons of flowers and urns
