MARK OF MARC-AUGUSTIN LEBRUN, PARIS, 1819-1838
Each on an oval base with stiff leaves and beading, the body applied with a fruiting grapevine and thyrsus frieze, heightened with Bacchic masks, the rim with a band of stiff leaves, the wooden handle terminating in ram's masks, the teapot spout terminating in foliage, the hinged cover with a beaded rim and a finial cast as basket of fruit, engraved with a coat-of-arms below a coronet, each marked under foot, on foot rim and near rim, the teapot further marked inside and on top of cover, each piece further marked on foot and near rim with a later French tax mark
