MARK OF GILBERT-NICOLAS CASTEL, PARIS, 1809-1819
On a circular base with foliage rim, raised on three paw feet, with a central finial cast as a basket of fruit and flowers, with three legs cast as floral garland decorated winged Caryatids, the domed cover chased with foliage and with a foliage cone finial, with a later clear glass liner, marked under base, on edge of base, near rim and inside cover
