FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH, PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed by both Hoovers on the front free endpaper: "Kind Regards of Herbert Hoover Lou Henry Hoover." LIMITED EDITION, one of 3000 copies printed. Herbert Hoover was a mining engineer before entering politics and becoming the thirty-first President of the United States.
