SPECULATING IN COAL AND COAL-YARDS. He discusses freight charges for "several Craft" he is loading with Coal, and adds that "this consignment can only deserve attention provided it is followed as I propose by many more. You will...provide a proper place to receive these Coals as a beginning...."
He confirms the chartering of the ship Sampson, "and I hope you will soon be able to compleat her Cargo & be ready to begin on another. You will act in the affair of Mr. Hanson or Hooper & as you shall think best but unless there be some sufficient inducement for granting longer delay, it may be as well to insist on payment."
