Lot Essay

A related 'V.O.C.' chest was situated in the hall of the little Palace on the Lange Voorhout in The Hague when it was still used by the Dutch royal family and is illustrated in R. Cleverens, Paleis Lange Voorhout, Amsterdam, 1994, p.88.
