Overall inlaid with shaped panels, the rectangular top above a hinged slope inlaid with a central star and strapwork panels, enclosing a fitted interior with pigeon-holes, drawers and a leather-lined writing- surface, above two long drawers and a shaped apron between cabriole legs with scrolling feet

Lot Essay

On the crossroads of nations, furniture from Liège combines typically French ornamentation with features which are generally associated with German furniture.
