Portrayed half-length, in three quarter-view, Christ positioned in a contrapostal manner in his Mother's arms, crossing his legs, carrying a closed scroll, pressing his face against his Mother's cheek and holding her chin, painted in the traditional style with sombre colours, their garments highlighted with ample chrysography, the silver-gilt oklad with a raised border and cut-out halo, the figures covered by embroidery adorned with river-pearls and semi-precious stones
