Made of brass, the background covered by blue and white enamel, the lower part representing the Crucifix with Martha and the Mother of God at the left, and John and the Centurion at the right, above two angels with veiled hands kneeling towards the cross, overlooked by Lord Sabaoth, surrounded by the most important events of the ecclesiastical year, including also an image of St. Nicholas and various portraits of the Mother of God, the two sections on the top terminating in ogee arches, illustrating the Holy Trinity and the Exaltation of the Cross, seraphims crowning the upper part of the icon
