Fidelys Schey, maître in 1777.

Fidelys Schey hailed from the Duchy of Baden and was one of the many immigrant craftsmen who was established in the rue du Faubourg-Saint-Antoine. He enjoyed a certain reputation and he supplied several games tables to the château de Fontainebleau in 1786.
A related commode, with similar geometric banding and an arrangement of veneers, is illustrated in P. Kjellberg, Le Mobilier Français du XVIIIe siècle, Paris, 1989, p. 785.
