Compare the decorative elements with those on a later Jiaqing-marked lime green and ruby-ground conjoined vase sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong, 9 October 2007, lot 1219. While mainy of the element are very similar in composition, the more exacting standards of the earlier Qianlong period are evident in the refined painting and more subtle use of the enamels on the current vase.
