The pair of honey-coloured silk panels finely embroidered in a satin stitch technique, the silk threads in tones of blue, green, russet, and cream, some details on the tree trunks and branches are highlighted in ink, one with swallows flying amid a flowering pomegranate tree growing from behind taihu rocks, the other one shows a pair of birds perched on the willow tree above a flowering bush and rocks; the orchids are encrusted with seed pearls and the roses and a cluster of lingzhi fungus is enhanced in Peking knots and embellished with coral beads
