A VICTORIAN PROVINCIAL SILVER BUTTER DISH STAND AND COVER
MARK OF CHRISTIAN J. REID, NEWCASTLE, 1873
Together with a shaving pot en suite, Newcastle, 1874, both engraved with geometric scrollwork and swags, the butter dish cover with beaver crest finial, the crest repeated inside the stand (glass butter dish now lacking), the shaving pot further engraved with floral sprays within oval cartouches and a beaver crest above the inscription, 7 July 1874, with a baluster ivory handle
