A waterline travel agents model of the S.S. Royal Viking Sun
circa 1975
built up in wood from the waterline with painted blue waterline, white topsides, blue sheer stripe, the hull detailed with anchor wells, applied port holes and windows, and other details. The decks are painted gray at the bow, stern and on the uppermost coverings, and laid paper with the planking drawn in pencil on the promenade and sun decks, around the pool, and sports deck. The decks are detailed with bow railing, bollards, deck winches, cargo booms, built up deck structures, railings, name boards, main mast with radar and radio aerials, life boats and raft on davits, pool, ladders and funnel finished in Norwegian Cruise Line livery. Mounted on a later mahogany base board with glass cover with brass trim.
