A rare French silver-plated eight day compendium timepiece in the form of a spherical boiler with thermometers and calendar with candlesticks
Circa 1900
With manually-operated pistons flanking a glazed double-sided thermometer, the boiler below set with a month dial adjusted from both sides and with white enamel Roman dial, the base with lever for operating a small date indication set into a circular plate, the single barrel movement with platform escapement; and the pair of matching candlesticks
The clock -- 15¼ in. (38.5 cm.) high; the candlesticks -- 8½ in. (22 cm.) high
