CASE: well moulded drum-shaped case with fluted bezel and with conforming edge to the socle, on stepped rectangular plinth, with bayonet-fixed ormolu bezel and sliding into the case on faceted runners secured to the cylindrical brass drum, with rear winding cover secured with a spring catch
DIAL: Roman dial with dot minute track, seven day up/down sector and subsidiary seconds ring, signed Arnold London and numbered 303, gold hour, minute and up/down hands, blued steel seconds hand--90 mm. diameter
MOVEMENT: two tier later spotted plates signed John R. Arnold London Inv. et fecit/No.303, single chain fusee with maintaining power
ESCAPEMENT: Arnold spring detent with adjustable heat compensatation weights at the screw-threaded outer ends (Z balance), blued steel helical spring and diamond endstone

The present chronometer is comparable to an example that was in the Arnold family for many years and is now in the collection of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers.
