Richard Peckover is recorded working in Change Alley in 1735 and at the Royal Exchange in 1751. It is believed he took over Quare and Horseman's business in 1733. A miniature gilt-metal eight day striking table clock by him is illustrated in E. Bruton, The Wetherfield Collection of Clocks, London, 1981, p.105, plate 49.
