The flat top hood with blind fret cornice, rectangular glazed side panels and inset plain columns, convex throat moulding, the trunk door with marquetry panels and circular lenticle, conforming marquetry to the plinth on later skirting, the 11 in. square brass dial with cherub and crown spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with sword hilt half hour markers and signed Jos Saer Perpoole Lane London, ringed winding holes, subsidiary seconds and date square to the matted centre, blued steel hands, the movement with five ring-turned pillars, anchor escapement and inside countwheel strike on bell; later seatboard, movement and dial associated to case; pendulum, two weights, case key
