The stepped and moulded flat top rising hood with delicate blind fret cornice panel, inset twist columns and large glazed rectangular side panels, convex throat mouldings, panelled trunk door with lenticle, conforming panelled sides and base, the 10 in. square brass dial with winged cherub spandrels and signed on the lower edge James Clowes Londini fecit, silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with trident half hour markers, subsidiary seconds and date square to the matted centre, blued steel hands, the movement with six latched and ring-turned pillars, restored bolt and shutter maintaining power, anchor escapement and external countwheel strike on bell; pendulum, two weights
