Lot Essay

These fireirons are of the same model as those supplied to Guilsborough Grange, Northamptonshire, which are now at Temple Newsam (illustrated in C. Gilbert, Furniture at Temple Newsam House and Lotherton Hall, London, 1978, no.171).
