A closely similar white example is in the Thomas Greg Collection, City Art Gallery, Manchester and illustrated by Michael Parkinson, The Incomparable Art, Manchester, 1969, pl. 46. A candlestick of similar form, dated 1653, with the arms of the Worshipful Company of Fishmongers, is illustrated by Michael Archer, Delftware the Tin-glazed Earthenware of the British Isles, a Catalogue of the Collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, 1997, G. 3. Another from the Rous Lench Collection, was sold Christie's, London, 29th May 1990, lot 3 and illustrated by Louis L. Lipski and Michael Archer, Dated English Delftware, London, 1984, no. 1560.
