A PAIR OF DUTCH DELFT BLUE AND WHITE HEXAGONAL TULIPIERE BASES
CIRCA 1690, ONE WITH BLUE B/AK MARK TO TOP FOR ADRIANUS KOCX (1687-1701)
Each identically painted with alternating panels of putti gardeners, before an urn in an arcaded garden, beside a dolphin fountain and beside a pedestal, the alternate panels with portrait busts in oval cartouches surmounted by a two-handled urn and surrounded by scrolling foliage, each within a moulded columned and arched panel between borders of scrolling foliage centred by a lion's mask and ruyi lappets and with circular paterae on six claw and ball feet, the tops moulded with six blue-spotted frogs, one with extensive restoration to top, rims, across three panels and to one column and with restoration to feet and base, the other with crack to top, some restoration to rims, frogs the lower-part of the columns and base, each with some chipping and flaking to extremities
