Lot Essay

Bruce Fleming first met Jimi Hendrix in 1966 when Hendrix asked him to shoot the cover for his first album Are You Experienced. Fleming became Hendrix's official P.R. photographer and travelled with him to Monterey where he took a celebrated series of photographs of Hendrix on stage.
