A flamboyant stage outfit by Bruce Halperin, the cream cotton two-piece suit and matching peaked cap lavishly embroidered in brightly coloured silks in a geometric design, the zip-fastening jacket embellished with Elton's name in black and red silk in the design on the front panels and incorporating musical note motifs on the sleeves; the corresponding trousers similarly decorated with musical notes, both pieces labelled inside Bruce Halperin, Los Angeles; accompanied by a pair of silver leather stage boots labelled Anello & Davide decorated with a pattern of black and pink stars; the outfit worn by Elton John on stage during his tour of Australia and New Zealand in 1981 and during the famous free concert in Central Park, New York in September, 1980; accompanied by two corresponding colour photographs, largest -- 7x5in.
