De forme circulaire reposant sur un haut piédouche, à décor polychrome et or au centre d'un profil de femme en bas-relief représentant la Cité dans un médaillon se détachant sur un fond jaune pâle avec rinceaux feuillagés, l'extérieur inscrit 'EXPOSITION UNIVERSELLE/PARIS-1878' dans un cartouche sur une guirlande enrubannée de fruits, le piédouche inscrit 'PARIS', 'EXPOSITION', 'SEVRES' et '1878'
