One a Faun and a Bacchante with a putto, the other two Bacchante and a baby faun, both signed Clodion the latter dated 1762 and both with stamped foundry numbers
18½ in. (47 cm.) and 22½ in. (57 cm.) high (2)

Lot Essay

Jean-Michel Claude known as Clodion was a celebrated sculptor in Paris in the 18th century who worked primarily in terracotta and marble. The bronze models after his designs were cast well after the sculptor's death mostly in the late 19th Century.
